MTG: Coalborn Entity

This is my illustration for the Jumpstart 2022 set of Magic: The Gathering. I was given a lot of creative freedom to design an ember elemental golem type of creature. After staring lovingly at a lot of pictures of fireplaces I decided that the patterns on burnt logs look not unlike reptilian skin and so here we are.
